Energy and Environmental Design of Buildings

The laboratory deals with the impact of architectural design on the building energy balance. It participates in research programs on the design of low-energy buildings, in committees related to energy saving and supports the design of passive heating-cooling systems, natural/artificial lighting. It has equipment for thermal comfort measurements as well as software for energy simulations and lighting system design.

Acoustic Design

 The laboratory develops knowledge and techniques for acoustic design of the environment, in collaboration with energy design and computer-aided design and construction.
 This integrated approach allows for the optimization of acoustic performance, taking into account energy and environmental requirements.
 Thanks to the use of modeling and simulation software, the laboratory offers innovative solutions for sustainable and efficient projects.
