Energy and Environmental Design of Buildings

Overview

The laboratory deals with the impact of architectural design on the building energy balance. It participates in research programs regarding low-energy building design, committees related to energy conservation, and supports the design of passive heating-cooling systems and natural/artificial lighting. It is equipped with thermal comfort measurement devices as well as software for energy simulations and lighting system design.
